Discord logo PNG

The rounded, mouthless face on Discord's app icon has a name: Clyde, the same name Discord later gave its built-in bot. People searching a discord clyde icon or a discord logo clyde usually aren't after anything extra — it's the one mark Discord has, just under its official name rather than a literal description of what it looks like. There's no separate wordmark in everyday use either, so a discord logo png and a discord icon png point to the identical file here.

If the shape or color looks off from what you remember, that's probably the May 2021 rebrand, not a broken file. Discord kept Clyde's basic rounded-face silhouette but squared off the proportions slightly, and swapped the original lighter shade (#7289DA) for a deeper, more saturated one (#5865F2) — keeping the "Blurple" name for both despite the change. That's what most old discord logo and old discord icon searches are actually after: the pre-2021 color and shape. This page has only the current mark; Discord's own branding page is the place to look if you specifically need the historical version.

"Is discord blue or purple" is a fair question with a deliberately unsatisfying answer: Blurple, Discord's name for a shade that's meant to sit between the two rather than commit to either. The current hex, #5865F2, leans closer to blue than the pre-2021 color did — which is also why this site files it under the blue color family — but it still carries enough red to read as purple depending on the screen. Discord's brand guidelines treat Blurple as a single fixed color, not a gradient or a range, so one flat fill is an accurate rendering of it, not a simplification the way a flat redraw would be for a brand with a real gradient mark.

Every size here exports with a transparent background by default, so a discord logo png transparent download — or a discord logo no background, same request either way — drops straight into a server banner, a slide, or a dark UI without a white box around Clyde's face. PNG comes in five fixed sizes, 64 to 1024px — 64 or 128px covers a favicon or a small UI badge, 512px is the usual pick for a bot listing or app card, and 1024px is the largest fixed export. Past that, or for print at a size you don't know yet, grab the SVG instead: it's vector, so it scales without the blur a stretched PNG gets once it's past its native resolution.

Black and white variants are the same Clyde silhouette, just recolored solid black or solid white rather than Blurple. A discord logo black file is the move for a light background, a single-color icon row, or a print run that won't reproduce Blurple reliably; a white discord logo is built for the opposite — a dark header, a dark-mode screenshot, or anywhere a filled blue-purple shape would clash with the surrounding design.

One thing worth knowing before using any discord logo image commercially: the artwork file itself is CC0-licensed through Simple Icons, but the Discord name and the Clyde mark remain Discord Inc.'s trademark. That's fine for identification — linking to a server invite, listing it among other app icons — but implying a partnership or endorsement you don't have crosses into trademark territory, and Discord's own brand guidelines (discord brand guidelines, linked in the sidebar) spell out more restrictions than most around altering Clyde's shape or color. The usage guidelines page has the full breakdown if you're using it for anything beyond identification.
