Frequently asked questions

Formats, licensing, and how the logo catalog works.

Download & formats

How do I download a logo in PNG format?

Open the brand's page, pick a color variant (original, black, or white) and a size, then click the PNG download button — no account needed.

What's the difference between SVG and PNG logo files?

SVG is vector — it scales to any size with no quality loss, ideal for print or large displays. PNG is a fixed-size raster image, ideal for quick use on the web or in documents.

Can I get a logo with a transparent background?

Yes — every logo and every PNG size is exported with a transparent background by default.

What PNG sizes are available?

64, 128, 256, 512, and 1024px, in original color, black, and white.

Can I download a logo in black and white?

Yes — every brand page has black and white variants alongside the original color version, each in SVG and PNG.

How do I copy the SVG code without downloading a file?

Use the “Copy SVG code” button on the brand page — it copies the raw markup straight to your clipboard.

Legal & usage

Are the logos on this site free to use?

The artwork files are CC0-licensed by Simple Icons. The brand names and marks themselves remain their owners' trademarks — see the licensing page for the full distinction.

Is it legal to download and use a company's logo?

Downloading for identification, editorial, or informational use (like referencing a company in an article) is generally fine. Implying partnership or endorsement you don't have is not — check the brand's own guidelines for commercial use.

Can I use a brand logo on my own website or app?

For identification purposes, yes, within fair use. For anything implying affiliation or endorsement, you need the brand's permission.

Do I need permission from the brand to use their logo?

For editorial or identification use, usually not. For commercial or branded use, yes — check the brand's linked guidelines on their page.

Can I use these logos for a business I'm building?

Not as your own brand mark — that would be trademark infringement regardless of the artwork's license. These are for referencing existing brands, not adopting their identity.

What does “CC0” mean for the logo artwork?

CC0 means Simple Icons' redrawn SVG file is public domain — free to use, modify, and redistribute with no attribution required. It does not waive the underlying brand's trademark rights.

Site & data

Where do these logos come from — are they official?

They're sourced from Simple Icons, an open-source project that redraws brand marks as clean, consistent SVGs, cross-referenced against each brand's own press kit where available.

Why is a specific brand's logo missing from the site?

A handful of major brands — including Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Slack, LinkedIn, and OpenAI — aren't in the current dataset, likely due to past trademark disputes with the source project. More brands can be added over time.

How often is the logo collection updated?

The catalog is regenerated from the latest Simple Icons release, which ships new and updated brand marks regularly.

Can I request a brand be added?

Yes — missing or incorrect logos can be flagged for review via the contact link on the licensing page.

How many logos does this site have?

3,464 brands at last count, each with original-color, black, and white variants in SVG and five PNG sizes.

Can I search by color or industry?

By color, yes — filter the browse page by color family. Industry or category filtering isn't available yet, since it needs manual curation on top of the current data.
